In 1992, Protech decided to move away from the PC design and manufacture a dedicated piece of hardware that would serve as our labeling controller. It had to be compact, rugged and powerful as well as economical. On top of all that, the system had to have network capabilities. (see Pronet) The result was the DDC9600 Controller along with the DDC9600 Series of Label Printers.
Eight years later, the Protech Labeling System is still at the top of its class in performance and features.

True multi-tasking capabilities...
Pronet allows the user to view (in real time) any product codes from any station in his plant. These screens are completely configurable by the user. Reports can be taken, files can be updated, even new products can be downloaded without interrupting any production. Pronet can carry on all these tasks while still collecting data from all labeling stations.

In many installations, the information generated by the network PC is usually required by other departments. To satisfy this problem we are able to provide additional terminals linked to the main network PC that would allow access to the network from virtually anywhere in a customer's plant. Password protection limits the operator to viewing or editing capabilities.
